Troy, New York based Americana meets country rock collective Brule County Bad Boys have just released their roots anthem "Truth". The song is the standout and highlighted single off of their latest album of the same name.
With "Truth", lead singer/songwriter and founding member Josh Coletto pens an autobiographical song all about the adjustments he had to make after leaving his time in a South Dakota jail cell. The track celebrates freedom and life with the artist coming into his own, exploring relationships, having fun and growing as a person. Lyrics including "I gotta run / cause we are born to die / one thing I've done / just pass the time / all the time," show how aware he is of his time wasted in jail and how ready he is to make a new way for himself. The song begins with emotive acoustic guitars that soon culminates into an uptempo honky tonk gem filled with twangy guitar riffs and whisky-drenched vocals. Colliding driving rhythms and roots heavy sonic impress with every note.
