Dry Ice & The Crescendos have returned with a funk-fueled pop meets bluesy rock banger. Called "Stronger" the song follows the singles "Hole In My Heart!", "Permanently" and "Empty Arms" shared last year.
With "Stronger", Dry Ice & The Crescendos have written a song all about trying to triumph against the hardships of life. This autobiographical narrative was written after founder / singer-songwriter C.L. Turner, III had dealt with his life turning upside down. Going through a divorce, having his mother die, a friend die and becoming unemployed, made him turn to creating music in his darkest days. Lyrics including, "I aint perfect / I'll never be / I'll keep pushing to get it right / Ain't going down without a fight," show the perseverance needed to keep going when life is almost impossible. Musically, the track is an upbeat affair complete with driving basslines, honey-dipped vocals and bright guitar riffs. A melodic and invigorating mix of genres including soul, pop, rock and blues makes the song a standout.
Dry Ice & The Crescendos is led by C.L. Turner, III who is a singer/songwriter and prolific pianist. He named his band after the word crescendo which means soft to loud, in reference to his creativity and musical vastness.
