LA rising talent CHEIQ shares healing and empowering number “Hot Bitch,” as she weaves through the burdens of low self-esteem to imbue positive vibrations into her life. With a catchy and confident hook “I’m hot, I’m rich, I’m that song that you never skip,” the track urges us to tune out the outside voices and opinions to cultivate trust in our own thoughts.

The success anthem is bold yet taps into vulnerability as it celebrates our blessings and the miracle of getting to live a healthy andsuccessful life. The track is accompanied by a cinematic music video that draws from historical females both real and fakewho have been beheaded, flipping the tale into something hopeful and optimistic.

Speaking of the inspirations for the music video, CHEIQ explains, “I thought of Marie Antoinette. She was famously beheaded and was known for being extremely luxurious and enjoying the finerthings in life. She was also known for being quite controlling and stating her opinions of howFrance should be governed to her husband King Louis XVI who was famously known as apushover. So I immediately thought if Marie Antoinette could have her way what would shehave? She would be the absolute monarch. So I thought lets change this story and have MarieAntoinette behead her husband. If he’s gone she can do whatever she wants.

“Then I thought of Medusa. Medusa’s story is quite sad. Medusa was a beautiful woman who hadtaken an oath of chastity. Poseidon thought she was beautiful and raped her inside the Temple ofAthena. Rather than blame Poseidon, Athena chose to punish Medusa by turning her into agorgon. Then Medusa was later beheaded by Perseus who was ordered to deliver her head to aking. So I thought well she is gonna get her chance at punishing Poseidon. So I thought let’smake her a beautiful gorgon almost like a succubus and have her bite his head off.”

She adds, “Lastly, the Queen of Hearts it’s hard to think of beheadings without thinking of the Queen ofHearts. I thought well let's tell the story of her relationship to the King of Hearts. I immediatelythought of her love for her garden. I thought what if her husband hates her garden and smooshesher flowers and cuts them up and it flips her switch and sets her off on a sociopathic murderspree. “

Taking us on an expansive and inspiring journey that sees these characters manifest a future where they can get what they want, the powerful production leaves us with the hope and strength to know what we want and go after it with confidence.
