Oslo-based producer, DJ, and record collector Ol' Burger Beats is gunning for his new full-length release but in the interim, he continues his slew of singles with the latest being "Running" featuring acclaimed artist Pink Siifu. The collaboration is a solid fusion of jazz, hip-hop with a touch of blues. Ol' Burger Beats crafts a lounge-type soundscape made up of smoky guitar riffs, mellow pads, keys and brushed drum grooves for Pink Siifu to deliver a stream-of-consciousness type performance over. Overall, the track feels like a live improv session at a bar downtown. It's quite peculiar and refreshing as well.
"Running" is available on Bandcamp alongside pre-order launch of Burger’s new LP, 74: Out of Time, due out Feb. 16th, 2024 via Coalmine Records.
