NY-based producer and singer-songwriter J.Paris is bringing something new with his style of expressive and genre-bending musical style to the forefront and with 2 EPs under his belt, he is not taking breaks as he is currently working on his new project entitled Road to Elysium LP. In the interim, he delivers two songs "Chasing the Sun" and "Fall So Hard" to keep his fans tuned in before the LP release.

"Chasing the Sun" is a rich dance-infused R&B love ballad that explores the analogy of Icarus and the scorching sun. Here J.Paris reflects on his pursuit of love that was never meant for him and the numerous emotional traumas he had to endure through this chase. Over the rich and cinematic backdrop, the singer pours his heart with lines like "I took a flight to find your love/But I need to this get right/Baby want you in my life/Don't leave me left alone to die" as he pleads for some succour but the only way is for him to abandon this pipe dream.

"Fall So Hard" continues J.Paris' emotional turmoil and once again the singer gets to come to terms with his past decisions that are now bogging him down. Bolstered by a mid-tempo and bouncy backdrop made up of dreamy textures and warm pulsating bass-driven grooves, J.Paris attempts to balance his internal conflict and external struggle that comes with guilt stemming from unrequited love. The hard part is he also acknowledges his flaws and not being able to return the love afforded to him thus creating more conflict. Here, he sounds angry and somewhat unapologetic with lines like "Said I didn’t wanna have put another girl on a song/Didn’t wanna tell you I was playing all along/Didn’t wanna have to let you down so strong/But you had to fall for a nigga so hard" where he tries to explain the situation to the best of his ability.
