Chicago-based artist Imani Nichele is a rapper, poet, and songwriter and DJ. Born in Detroit, she started out participating in various poetry workshops to writing her first book at the age of 17, she later served as the Detroit Youth Poet Laureate in 2018 before releasing her first EP in 2022 and she hasn't looked back since. Juggling her turntable skills with rapping, she has embarked on more than a handful of tours in the US and overseas and now she drops her latest single "BLEAT". The track was produced by Soulection producer J.Robb, who laces her with a wobbly bass-line-driven backdrop and punchy drums and the result is a flurry of bravado-laden bars and stylish rapping that marries soft alluring melodies with a distinct feel that puts her in a different category.
