Country music act Nashville Phil shares the tongue-in-cheek, satirical Christmas single “Swerve Me Again,” that offers up a gritty lo-fi intertwined with crunchy guitar, twinkling vibraphone, stand-up bass and shuffling drums.
Channelling his penchant for captivating and humorous storytelling, the track encapsulates holiday cheer and his trademark vintage country aesthetic brought to life by his , husky, half-spoken vocal delivery and laugh out loud lyricism.
Speaking about the charming and whimsical track, Nashville Phil explains: “It's a song about a guy who ain't deserving of a visit from Santa Claus on account of his habitual bad behaviour. It's a fun track, ain't nobody I've played it to hasn't cracked a smile. It's also an attempt to grab a piece of the (extremely lucrative for some) Christmas themed playlists!”
An accomplished multi-instrumentalist who crafts infectious country soundscapes elevated by crisp song writing, Phil stands as a torchbearer for alternative country music.
