Rising pop singer-songwriter Savanna Leigh is a Florida-raised artist who grew up around seasoned entertainers and she soaked up the art at a young age, experiencing the industry from behind the scenes. Now based in Nashville, Savanna is now pursuing her musical career and with a recent EP release titled somewhere in between. She is also working on a handful of tracks scheduled to drop in early 2024 but in the interim, she shares a double single released in the form of "i miss you (i still do) acoustic" and "hanging on a dream (acoustic)" accompanied by their respective videos.
The first track “i miss you (i still do)” is a heartfelt and reflective track that explores the emotions of being lovelorn for that special someone who is far away. The self-produced track sees her displaying her guitar skills as she crafts a sombre and solemn backdrop with a rich guitar pluck and her rich vocal runs. Here, she expresses her true feelings on wax. The visual is pretty steeped in the DIY realm and captures Savanna performing in a dimly lit environment beset by medieval-looking candle stands.
The second song “hanging on a dream” continues the acoustic guitar-driven sound for the double release and once again sees her digging deep into her emotions. The introspective track is ripe with Savanna's enthralling vocals and heartfelt lyrics that dwell on growth and how time passes one by without any regard. Her perspective is somewhat rueful but at the same time, grateful for she acknowledges the good memories of the past while coming to the realization that people will eventually move on.
The visual is a live rendition of the song and sets Savanna doing what she knows best on stage while a home video of her younger years plays on a projector behind her.
