Eclectic L.A.-based alternative hip-hop artist Quinja ends the year with "West Jewel", an anthemic tune that clears all doubts about her as an artist. The track is a befitting follow-up to her previous release Crown Flow Show: Roots Of The Crown Era and signals the beginning of a new era for Quinja. The title serves as an appellation of sorts for the rising independent rapper/songwriter who is walking the unbeaten path. She sounds very much at home over the hard-hitting soundscape laid before her. Over the anthemic horn-like synths, thumping drums and brass stabs, Quinja reminds listeners of her status with lines like "What I bring to this game is one of a kind/Trying to keep me out but I found my route, now I stepped in the ring with arrows of time/From the Crown Flow Show now I'm back on the road" and caps it with her donning the mantle of the West Jewel.
