okay(K) gets his mind "correct."

Alternative NY-raised soul/pop singer-songwriter okay(K) returns to our site with his latest release "correct." The record has a mid-tempo bounce with warm and ethereal textures with sparse but punchy drum grooves underpinned by his off-kilter vocal runs. His unassuming and lax vocal drawl is what sets him apart as he delivers his melodies in an off-centre style. Here, the track talks about a toxic relationship he was in and how he finally got over it and it also explores his own personal failings which he unabashedly admits to. Overall, the record has a DIY feel and might be an acquired taste for some but it's nonconformity is what makes it engaging for us.
