London indie-pop act Cosmorat deliver vibrant new offering "S.A.D L.U.V," delving into what it means to leave behind your innocence and embark into the unknown of adult life.
Built on rich and sweeping guitar instrumentals, the track draws from singer Taylor Pollock's own experiences heading into womanhood to deliver a vulnerable yet confident message that strikes a chord with ease.
With a minimal and organic arrangement that encapsulates the innocence of youth while also capturing an underlying maturity, the track channels the turbulence of being on the precipice of womanhood with tenderness and relatability.
Speaking of the track, Pollock says, “S.A.D L.U.V is meant to channel my inner child, girlhood, and rage. This song was very cathartic for me to write as it feels like I am finally working out of my diffidence and forgiving myself for the years of self-deprecation caused by not matching the standards of what a lot of people expected me to be.”
The brainchild of Pollock and Olly Liu, Cosmorat which includes Lorenzo Burgio and Chloe Mercadal have earned a growing fanbase for their sonic tapestries that conjure emotive worlds framed by thoughtful lyrics and atmospheric soundscapes.
