Birmingham-born and London-based artist Gaby K's newest record "What Have I Done" is a heartfelt but unapologetic take on a past relationship that was leading nowhere. Over the sombre and warm licks, lush pads and soft grooves, Gaby rues on a past love that wasn't meant to be and wonders why she even got caught up in the cycle to begin with. Lines like "Yeah, it was supposed to be great/Just a few nights with a good mate/ what a cliché that I've become/falling for a buddy what have I done?" point to regret but nothing she can do but pick herself up once again.
The song comes with a long shot DIY visual clip that makes use of simple motifs and special effects that show Gaby K in different parts of a room alluding to the swirling and rousing emotional pain she is feeling.
