Girl As Wave (Marci Elizabeth) is a New York based synth-bending songwriter who paints dark vignettes perfect for the witching hour. Her new single "Superstition" was written about a poisonous inner-dialogue and blind trust in habits that ultimately lead to nowhere. With dark influences of occult icons, "Superstition" will spike your senses.

"Superstition" comes alive with soft cascades of percussion, a haunting orchestra of synths, and a vocal as inviting as a whisper in your ear. Drawing you in with a subtle, cryptic verse that builds into a bliss-drenched chorus, "Superstition" will keep you on your toes. Girl As Wave sings, "Haunt me once, haunt me twice / Won't catch me rolling the dice." "Superstition" is an illusively electric daydream that draws you into an intricate web of supernatural euphoria. The artist further adds, "The song comes from an inner dialogue I used to have a lot with myself. It’s recognizing a kind of superstitious attachment to habits and routines that at one time might have felt like a winning formula but eventually start to feel like being stuck in a loop because there’s a fear to change anything even when the desire for change exists."

"Superstition" is from Girl As Wave's new EP Time Is Never Shy, released the same day. Her musical backdrop draws inspiration from dark synth pop, lo-fi indie rock, and the evocative tones of dream pop. With three EP's now under her belt, Girl As Wave is an enthralling artist to watch. Take a listen to "Superstition" from Girl As Wave's new EP Time Is Never Shy now.
