Chicago’s hometown hero Sherm is fresh off electrifying performances at North Coast Festival's Vega Stage and a massive Lollapalooza afterparty alongside ACRAZE. Back with a bang, he’s teaming up with another promising duo from Chicago – PODS, together releasing a simmering tech house single titled "Madonna" via Hood Politics.
"Madonna" is a track that embodies the spirit of underground, delivering a relentless and simmering beat that is perfect for late night sets. Funky bass grooves snake through the track, while a Daft Punk-esque vocal sample weaves in and out, creating an infectious and hypnotic vibe that's impossible to resist.
In addition to the single, Sherm has revealed that he is taking the reins as the moderator for the official ADE Panel titled "The Tech/House Boom in the US: What's In It for You?" – a round table chat featuring industry heavyweights like DJ Susan (CEO of Hood Politics), Kaysin (Repopulate Mars A&R), & Carissa Szlosek (Prodigy Artists). He’ll also be performing at the joint Hood Politics & Bring The Kingdom showcase at the conference on October 21.
Throughout his career thus far Sherm has created an unshakeable presence both in Chicago and beyond. He’s built his own podcast Sherm In The Booth from the ground up – and his versatile talents both DJing and as an artist have earned him prestigious bookings including direct support for major names in the space.
Mike Lelito and Dom Fortuna, better known as PODS, have firmly established themselves as one of Chicago’s hottest house duos. 2022 was a breakthrough year for the duo, with infectious new releases and shows played alongside artists such as Flume, Tchami, Galantis and Acraze. PODS continues to represent the rich house culture of Chicago with weekly live shows and exciting new releases.
