Following his debut body of work The Fantasy- which featured singles "Misses FL" and "Love on Top”, ALX spent two years carefully crafting his next musical statement. The brother of platinum-selling artist Dominic Fike, ALX is proving that talent runs in the family, but he's also carving out his own distinct path. After a two-year hiatus, ALX has made a triumphant return with his latest single “Crazy," a synergistic blend of moody vocals and intricate production, courtesy of Devin Workman and Xero.
“Crazy” contains atmospheric production built around airy layers of synths, infectious percussion, and an expansive bass-line. ALX comes through with some smooth, energizing vocals atop the immersive instrumentation, lacing the track with vibrant melodies that culminate in a sleek, ear-worm chorus.
The single “Crazy” captures ALX’s essence as an artist who is not afraid to be vulnerable, while also showcasing his growth both personally and musically. The music video for "Crazy" mirrors the song's emotional depth, featuring moody, black and white cinematography that complements the intricate textures and layers of the song.
To ensure the success of his first single in 2 years, Alamo Records called on digital marketer Avesta Shadpey to lead awareness initiatives particularly across TikTok, where ALX's target audience predominantly lives. It’s a savvy move, considering TikTok's undeniable role in catapulting songs to viral status these days.
