Los Angeles-bred, Brooklyn-based producer and singer Ry Hill continues the rollout of his debut album with a wavy new indie-electronic offering, “Otherside.” Making use of Hill’s own vocals, guitar playing, and production skills, “Otherside” arrives on the heels of “Lost In My Sentiments,” the first single to arrive from ‘Death by Distraction.’
Sharing on the track, "Otherside is a message of hope, both for myself and my listeners. Whatever hardships you’re enduring right now can and will be transcended. The ‘other side’ of life refers to the bigger picture being so much more important than the small stuff that may seem to be consuming your world.”
DJ Ry Hill, born Cameron DeFaria, first started gaining traction in 2016 by uploading remixes to SoundCloud. Since then, the 25-year old musician has become a reputable electronic tastemaker in LA's thriving club scene. In February 2023, Hill issued his first-ever label backed single, “Ascension,” via Ibiza imprint Haustronaut Recordings. Newly added to the impressive roster of FRNDS MGMT (Alison Wonderland, Crooked Colours), Hill plans to maintain momentum leading up to his debut album, 'Death By Distraction'.
