Strawberry Blonde, the talented musical collective comprised of Martine Mauro-Wade on drums and percussion, Sean Power on bass, Carey Ozmun lending vocals, trumpet, and keys expertise, Sam Barna on guitar, and Liam Connors on vocals and guitar, has recently released their latest EP, "Somebody Hold Me." This 5-track masterpiece, spanning 21 minutes and 36 seconds, showcases the band's unique sonic blend and blurs the lines between genres.

Formed in 2015 at SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Music, the members of Strawberry Blonde share a foundational musical education that serves as the secret sauce behind their genre-bending sound. Their latest EP opens with "Snowed In," a dreamy and hypnotic track that immediately immerses the listener in Strawberry Blonde's world. "Rearview" follows suit, with intricate horn arrangements and mesmerizing rhythm that showcase the band's undeniable chemistry.

The EP takes a more introspective turn with "Always," where Carey Ozmun's pop vocals soar over lush instrumentals, creating emotionally resonant music. As the EP nears its end, "Stay" leaves the listener yearning for more, like a tantalizing promise of what's to come.

"Somebody Hold Me" demonstrates Strawberry Blonde's evolution and fearless approach to pushing musical boundaries. Their fusion of pulsating R&B-informed rhythms, dreamy guitars, and intricate horn arrangements creates a sonic tapestry that's both refreshing and addictive. Compared to Foxing and Bon Iver, Strawberry Blonde is poised to make a significant mark on the music scene.

Strawberry Blonde's latest EP is a musical journey that leaves a lasting imprint on the soul. It explores emotion and sound that blurs the lines between genres, leaving listeners craving more of their unique sonic blend. If you haven't already, be sure to check out "Somebody Hold Me" and witness the musical prowess of Strawberry Blonde for yourself.
