Showcasing an emotional depth to her lyrics, the Canadian isn’t afraid to lay her darkest moments out for everyone to see.
Originally written a few years back, Lena confides, “Re-working it years after its initial composition, I was pleased to realize that I had evolved considerably since. I dedicate this song to my inner-strength. To my resilience, to my inner-bad b*tch, who allowed me to become a flower that blooms in adversity. This is for my inner-queen. Back then, I had yet to meet her.”
Despite stemming from a dark and somber period of the artist's life, “EDGE” ended up becoming a total badass empowerment anthem, with Lena using her feminine rage and energy to fuel the track.
