Palm Desert indie pop duo Pen Pin have just shared their latest imaginative bedroom pop single and comedic music video. Called "The Boredom", the song follows their sun-soaked release "Fringe" shared last month.
With "The Boredom", Pen Pin crafts a song taking influence from our constant need for dopamine and the perils when we lack it. Lyrics including, "lifes a bummer when you can't move / the boredom is coming for you / like it or not / you've been looking for something fun / that makes you feel like you're still alive," show the recurrent search for distraction, entertainment and pleasure that many of us seek. Sonically, "The Boredom" thrills with a delightful musical fusion complete with orchestra inspired synths, rich melodies and 60's inspired guitars. The accompanying music video features the duo at the beach having a good time until they are interrupted by a cardboard monster and self described "killer of vibes". The video is as equally thought provoking as it is comical.
Pen Pin are a truly special musical duo who are already making waves in the indie music scene.
