Up-and-coming Liverpool-based singer-songwriter Astles captures the feeling of being truly understood and loved on new single “This One’s For You,” featuring sombre pianos over which laid-back yet rich vocals float.

With a nostalgic and cinematic vibe backed by plucky melodies, hopeful lyricism, and emotive delivery, the track celebrates knowing how lucky you are to be surrounded by wonderful people in your life.

Speaking of the inspiration behind the song, Astles says, “It's quite easy sometimes to sit and be unhappy with how things play out, how life doesn't quite go the way you would like at points. But I have beautiful inspiring people around me everyday who chose to spend their time, efforts and life with me. So maybe I’m doing better than I'd like to think sometimes.”

With a gentle energy rooted in melancholy, Astles’ musical world is one rooted in the celebration of humanity framed by heartfelt song writing and warm, honeyed vocals – and this latest number which draws on the love of those around him is the perfect example of what to expect whenever you tune into his music.
