Irene's Entropy is a singer, songwriter, survivor and advocate. Her powerful and important new single and video "Identity" was just released and it gives the listener their first glance of her upcoming transformative album.

With "Identity", Irene's Entropy writes a cathartic and autobiographical song all about her own journey of self discovery. Born into a cult and a life of child abuse and trauma, Irene made the brave decision to escape at the age of 21. With her whole life upended and everything she knew gone, the artist had to start anew and figure out who she is. She confides, "I was a girl estranged from her family with no education, no friends, and no way to cope with a past full of trauma, lies, and manipulation. The story leads to me becoming an aerospace engineer, creating my own family, starting a band, and building my own company to empower others who are on similar journeys…but it was along the way that I discovered I had many addictions from a past life of trauma. In my previous life my brain had adjusted to giving me dopamine when I was obediently suffering. They were addictions that were just as real as addiction to any physical substance, and it has taken me years to get sober." Musically, "Identity" highlights Irene's powerful vocals and knack for creating infectious melodies. Pop punk guitar riffs and an anthemic chorus full of fervor and emotion are standouts in this important musical offering.

The accompanying music video represents the rose colored "perfect" world Irene was taught she lived in as a child despite living with abuse and neglect. The video shows the artist taking these pills everyday which makes her believe and see what she is meant to see. One day she stops taking the pills and feeling confused she ponders the control of the cult and that leads her to her own path to her identity.

Irene's Entropy aims to empower others to celebrate their own growth, change and triumph over hardships. Through her own raw and honest music, the songwriter is an inspiration and a rising artist to watch.
