Black Pines share electrifying and varied EP 'Bodies'

Rising powerhouse heavy rock quintet Black Pines share electrifying EP Bodies, delivering a multi-dimensional yet cohesive collection, framed by musical prowess and lyrical brilliance.

Kicking off the explosiveness of “Death Ballad,” with its euphoric guitar-led vibes, the album switches gears seamlessly into the brooding and darker tones of “World Apart.”

Next, is the candid stand-out production “What Are You Scared Of,” which delves into grappling with daily panic attacks. The vulnerable ballad with its confessional feel and message of self-acceptance transforms into punchy “Run and Hide,” reflecting on the frustration of toxic relationships.

Finally, “Rule Over Me,” comes alive as a unapologetic socio-political anthem, confronting the tumultuous times and oppressive systems of our world.

With each track on the EP offering a distinct facet of Black Pines' artistry from anthemic riffs and ethereal vocals to high-energy finishes, the five-piece are boldly embracing a "heavy alternative" sound that starkly diverges from their indie roots as they obliterate boundaries of genre with unwavering intensity.
