Talented rising star BLVMENKIND has released his latest emotive Drum and Bass track, "On My Own", featuring vocalist Tom Wavy via Paradise Lost. BLVMENKIND, also known as Gabriel Brönnimann, blends Drum and Bass with Pop, a heartfelt production layered with the sultry vocals from Wavy. While beautiful melancholic piano chords give the track a timeless ballad sound, the punchy DnB drums build up to explode for the final drop, giving the track grit and power. The lyrics tell a story of loneliness, grief, and a love-lost. Intricate, incredibly well produced and loaded with emotion.
The Swiss native, currently based in Rüti, received amazing reception from his first single, ‘Dream With You’, gaining 10 million listeners. He has since received support from Limmattaler Zeitung Newspaper and was selected as an artist to watch in 2020 by the Swiss national radio station SRF3. He is definitely a producer to keep an eye on, the track has a raw feeling throughout, moulding perfectly into the modern, pop-infused drum and bass sound that's kicking off in 2023!
BLVMENKIND talks on the track, “‘On My Own’ is a song that I created quite early in the album production cycle in 2018. Back then, it only was a rough demo of a piano melody and a drum and bass loop. It stuck with me because the melody is very melancholic and lonesome but still has an optimistic feeling to it, which very well presented the situation I was in at that point of life but still is relatable today”.
