London-based Bristol-born singer, Charlotte Lansman, caught our ears with her unique brand of jazz/soul-infused music. The rising singer grew up with an American father and a British mother from North-East England in a household filled with music and has been singing right from when she could speak. Her latest release "Stupid Love" is a pop-soul ballad that captures those bright moments when that special someone pops up in your head at random. The production is crisp, pristine and dynamic as it starts off slow and builds up into a crescendo as it moves along. From the bright guitar plucks, warm basslines, and head-nodding grooves to Lansman's rich summer-tinged melodies, listeners are drawn into the blissful vibe as Lansman sings "I wore your t-shirt to the station in the morning:/ A message to us both, and the world/ And though my eyes were staring straight out the window/ My mind was telling me I'm your girl". The lyrics do capture that pure essence of being neck-deep in love and we are here for it all.
