Argentina-born, Miami, Florida-raised rapper Kingdom Kome is bringing the lessons learned from his tumultuous upbringing to the masses with his rich songwriting and poetic style. His newest effort “Heroina” is a hard-hitting track that captures the rapper's core essence as a lyricist. Bolstered by the scenic and cinematic backdrop provided by California-based producer Dawit Justice, Kingdom Kome brings us right in the middle of the action with lines like "Libertad o muerte like guerilla fronts, we lost in the wilderness/Plant easters turn carnivorous/Rappers I take out a couple like polygamist".
The lyric video is a blend of performance shots of Kingdom Kome and old interview clips from the 80s that center on the rising social-political tension in that Cold War era.
Speaking on the project Kingdom Kome said “Dawit and I built our friendship years ago on our mutual affinity for polo culture and hip-hop. In that time, Dawit has done production on the Supreme Sorcerers and Los Chicos Criollos LP’s. Working on this album with him has put me in a more militant and conscious chamber. It’s kind of a sonic uprising if you will.”
"Heroina" serves as the first leak from the forthcoming collaborative LP Kingdom Of Justice to drop on 9/25. In addition to the duo, album features include Timbo King, Tragedy Khadafi, Ras Ceylon, Che Uno, Lyrik’L, Lazarus Child, CTraffik, Money Mogly, Enoch Sol and Una Mercedes.
