Manchester-based Lithuanian singer-songwriter Grete caught our ears with her new single "With u", a heartfelt genre-bending ballad that dwells on the past when one was independent and free of relationship constraints. The track has a slow build-up with layered keys, steady drum grooves with lush guitar riffs and pads that rise to a crescendo on the chorus section. The singer captures her lingering nostalgia for the old days in the verses with emotive melodic runs and lovelorn songwriting. Grete was born and raised in Lithuania and started singing at a very young age which led to her performing alongside ensembles and bands. After gaining much experience she was primed for the big stages in her country. From several TV competitions, theatre performances, and small contests to make it to the finals of The Voice of Lithuania, Grete did it all and decided she needed to broaden her horizons by leaving her home country to start afresh in the UK.
