Courtney Cooper leads us into "The Mood"

Brooklyn, New York-raised singer/songwriter Courtney Cooper delivers her new single "The Mood" which is a showcase of her alternative pop-infused R&B sound. After studying 90s legends such as Missy Elliot and Timbaland and others, she went on to study jazz at Berklee College Of Music and slowly built her repertoire as a performer.

"The Mood" is a mellow, dreamy love ballad that is steeped in the classic 90s R&B aesthetics we grew up on with its rich guitar plucks, warm pads and soft drum grooves. Courtney sure sets the intimate mood with her honeycombed vocals and enticing lines like "Let me set the mood/ Vibing to Badu, Nothing left to lose/ I’ll make my move, Don’t want any other, yeah/ I wanna be your lover, yeah."
