Camille Jansen, the 23-year-old Parisian musician and model extraordinaire, is set to unveil her latest musical masterpiece, "Was Always You," on September 8th, as a precursor to her highly anticipated debut album. As the music world eagerly awaits her next move, we're thrilled to invite you on a unique auditory voyage through the captivating soundscape that is Camille Jansen.

Was Always You is an enchanting blend of singer-songwriter folk with a touch of the enigmatic Velvet Underground. Camille's emotive vocals lead us through a lyrical landscape, evoking the timeless essence of classic Americana while infusing it with a contemporary edge. The entire single was meticulously crafted as Camille's band recorded it live, direct to analog tape. The result? A performance brimming with spontaneity and an unmistakable vibe reminiscent of the 1960s.

Accompanied by a visually stunning music video, Camille takes us on a compelling journey, tracing her evolution from adolescence to the wisdom of old age. The video features production by Zach Tabori and lead guitar guest appearance by Devon Ross. As the minutes tick by, we witness the gradual dissolution of her youthful romantic ideals, fading away into the recesses of memory as she reflects upon the loss of a past love. This visual narrative perfectly complements the soulful storytelling found in Was Always You.
