Richmond, CA artist JIG LeFrost has unveiled the video for the underground lyrical mosh-inducer, “VENTI”, off his last full length offering I’m Right Here. LeFrost has shared both virtual and physical stages with acts like Blvck Svm, The Good Perry, Maxo Kream, Billie Eilish, TI, and more as well as collaborated with multiple billboard #1 producers like Juberlee and Sims Cashion. Taken from his blazing project I'm Right Here, LeFrost's song "VENTI" packs a punch with its hard-hitting sonics and commanding vocals, paired with a fresh video shot in partnership with Chuck Magazine and directed by Achilleas.
"VENTI" builds an imposing soundscape with its minimalistic and yet powerful instrumentation. As booming, massive 808s and trunk-knocking percussion lock in a heavy rhythm section, obtuse synths meld with LeFrost's hushed, raw flows. The track's low-key, nocturnal feel gives it a subtle aggression that feels genuinely threatening. LeFrost is larger than life in the fast-paced, ominous visual, making everyday places like a Starbucks Coffee Shop & Denny’s booth feel threateningly out of place.
LeFrost’s music is self described as sounding “like a comet hurdling towards the earth”. The rapper with an idiosyncratic, whispering tone that is “wanted for space crimes,” delivers an energetic, enigmatic performance in this new Chuck Magazine collaboration.
