London based singer-songwriter and producer VC Pines shares the final glimpse of his upcoming debut LP MRI with expansive and shimmering single “SUPERMAN,” delving into the lesser known experiences surrounding anxiety and doubt.
Built on a sweeping soundscape, the introspective track is rooted in the overarching theme of self-sabotage and achieving personal growth that the album is set to explore.
Speaking of the track, he says, "SUPERMAN is about biting off more than you can chew and self sabotage. There are people in your life who mean more to you than life itself, but you let things get in the way, and you lose sight of what’s important, until it’s too late…"
Following an impressive run of recent releases, this latest offering is a colourful final step before we’re graced with the alt/indie talent’s debut project, which weave through the tale of "someone struggling with mental health, juggling relationships, friendships, addictions and emotions, while being a creative person."
Having earned a space for himself in music as the frontman of London-based indie rock band, The Carnabys, musician Jack Mercer made the seamlessly shift into a new realm of musicality, honing an adventurous alternative indie soul artistry under the moniker of VC Pines, capturing hearts with his gripping tales of love, loss and late nights.
