New Orleans, Louisiana-based singer-songwriter Richard Rourke started out with his band the Voodoo Collective in 2017 and went on to release some EPs and numerous live shows in their hometown. Fast forward to the present, Richard is not charting a different route as he gets back in the studio to work on new music but in the interim, he shares with us his latest release titled "Kick It With You".
The record is a sublime funk-soul tune that captures the essence of neo-soul with a modern contemporary vibe. From the silky guitar riffs, warm soulful pads and mellow drum grooves to Richard's laidback melodic runs. He delivers a heartfelt tune that talks about healing from love and finding that special person whom he can just chill with.
