Producer and songwriter The Translator, also known as Adem Gun, is a gifted producer with dual origins from Britain and Turkey. Emma's powerful yet yearning voice graces this enchanting 6/8 ballad, while haunting piano chords infuse the track with a beautiful and deeply emotional essence.
Emma Snowdon's contemporary sound weaves together elements of classic soft rock and singer-songwriter folk music, resulting in a captivating fusion that inspires introspection and a sense of shared connection. Speaking on the track, “‘Your Eyes’ started out one evening when I was playing the piano, which I do a lot to decompress. After coming up with the main idea for the piano I found a combination of brass instruments that added a melancholic, and slightly middle-eastern sounding layer. It was after having played the drums on top of it that I reached out to Emma Snowdon, my cousin and incredibly talented vocalist, who joined me in the studio to complete the track. She already had some lyric ideas and very quickly tied them all together to form the finished track. We brainstormed together some more over small changes and are very happy to share it with you."
