British pop artist bexx has been releasing a slew of singles this year, on the lead-up to her new EP and the day has finally arrived for it to be unveiled to the world. SUCKER is a five-track release narrating her real-life rom-com experiences. Some might even say she has a Ph.D. in dating disasters. But no matter what bexx goes through, she always manages to find the humor in it, as she captures that lighthearted, comedic essence and inserts it into her loveable and relatable sound.
The songwriter shares, “I had so much FUN writing this EP, I was laughing the whole time, even when I was writing "haha, I’m dying alone". It's about times in my life that felt heavy and lonely, but writing these songs made me feel lighter. Almost all of these songs have a punchline. Pop music just doesn't have to be that serious.”
A perfect example of her ability to turn somber situations into a laugh, is the track, “haha, I'm dying alone.” bexx doesn’t walk on eggshells when it comes to her lyrics, providing a feel-good outlet for some of life's more intimidating moments.
