Bath-based act Jamie Beale delivers emotional track “Champagne People,” reflecting on how people forget who they are and where they’ve come from in the pursuit of fame and success. A poignant production led by melancholic instrumentals and stirring vocal lines, the track is a reminder to us not to fill our lives with short-lived moments of attention.
A thoughtful anthem on someone trying to climb the social ladder and ending up alone, hiding behind a crumbling façade of fake people and put upon perfection, the track is beautiful and haunting all at once.
Speaking of the track, Beale said, “I feel that we are living in this weird age where people are willing to do anything for fame. You see it all the time on social media – it’s so easy to put up a veil and hide all the realities and imperfections of life that ultimately make us human. On the outside looking in, it seems that no-one in these circles are truly content.”
The simple yet impactful production is accompanied by striking visuals of black and white close-up moving shots and far-away static shots that bolster it.
Blending his profound song writing abilities with a dreamy pop sensibility, Jamie Beale is honing in on a new side of his artistry, leaving fans excited for what’s to come.
