British singer/ songwriter and producer PEARL, has just unveiled her debut EP, Where I Go, giving listeners the key to her enchanting, secret garden. Swirling synths, dancy beats and PEARL’s falsetto vocals envelop you in a dreamlike atmosphere, where her intoxicating sound reflects a nature inspired vision. The four-track EP, Where I Go, is all about acceptance and the power of positivity. We all need reminding that sometimes certain things in our lives are out of our control, and the best way to deal with them is to accept it and just move forward with the cards we have been dealt, in the best way possible.
Speaking on the EP, PEARL shares, “Music is very visual for me, and I love to create little worlds around it. This EP is verdant, a secret spot in the garden with round velvet chairs, cocooned and warm, with soft edges and lots of plants. I look at the music as biophilic, the synths, drums and production are the architecture, and my voice, the organic sounds, and the lyrics are the green and natural elements that run through…I’ve always had an overactive imagination!”
Where I Go is an interesting blend of PEARL’s classically trained musicianship and organic instrumentation, as well as her love for synth pop. It is a perfect representation of who the artist is and everything she stands for. As a debut release, we can only imagine where PEARL is going to go next, but what we do know is that we want to be part of the journey.
