Salt Lake City based alt rock band City Ghost have just unleashed their latest single. Called "Good News", the song is the first track off of their upcoming EP Cause and Effect out later this summer.

With "Good News", City Ghost pens a relatable anthem all about mental health struggles and trying to find healing in the midst of episodes of anxiety and depression. Lyrics including, "can't we be enough / what's the good news / we have been waiting for / I have been on my best behavior / I still can't figure it out," show just how hard the struggle is to navigate mental health battles and how emotions and feelings ebb and flow through life. Musically, "Good News" enthralls with soaring fervent vocals, grunge inspired guitars and ferocious drums. Infectious melodies sing a powerful message of hope in the midst of despair.

City Ghost was formed in 2018 by captivating singer/songwriter Sadie O’Neill and prolific guitarist Matt Mascarenas. Adding members Sam Richards (guitar), Chase Griffis (bass), and Ken Vallejos (drums), the five-piece has opened for popular bands including Hop Along, The Joy Formidable, and Crime in Stereo. City Ghost is a quickly rising rock group with fans drawn to their nostalgic leaning brand of indie meets alt rock. Take a listen to "Good News" now and add the song to your favorite summer playlist.
