Jamaican-American singer-songwriter SXNTYLR (pronounced Sean Taylor) is a man who wears many hats and besides singing he is also a trumpeter, dancer, and actor. With many years of working behind the music scene from touring and working with luminaries such as The Lox, Masta Ace, Skyzoo, Lil Kim and others, he has garnered his own fan base and status as one to watch. His latest effort titled "Joe Grine" sees him showcasing his vocal range over the classic drum groove lifted from the "Leanback" instrumental. SXNTYLR sure knows the assignment and sets it off with an unapologetic opening armed with his rich melodic tone, he delivers a stunning and engaging performance ripe with catchy lines and sonorous cadences. He even takes it back to the yard with some dancehall vibes and explosive patois toasting.
SXNTYLR hails from the Uptown Wakefield section of the Boogie Down Bronx. Where the music is concerned, his music is a fusion of R&B, Dancehall, Hip-Hop, and Jazz. The "Classentic" sound is how SXNTYLR describes the sound of his music. Classentic is a portmanteau of the words 'classic' and 'authentic'. He has performed on Broadway in the critically acclaimed play "Caroline or Change" directed by George Wolfe and has been featured on numerous TV commercials. He was sought after by Lil' Kim to provide the triumphant TRUMPET blast for her royal-themed celebrity baby shower which aired on WeTV to millions of viewers.
