Matthew And The Arrogant Sea, an indie rock band known for their introspective and thought-provoking lyrics, has announced the world premiere of their latest single, "Targets." This powerful song carries a poignant message that aims to break through societal barriers, encouraging listeners to embrace their authentic selves and be proud of who they are.

"Targets" was recorded at the prestigious Redwood Studios in Denton, TX, where the band was able to capture their quintessential sound. The track features distinctive vocals, melodic basslines by Blake Vickrey, enchanting guitar riffs by Tony Whitlock and Pablo Alzate, and the driving force of Hagen Hauschild's drums, all coming together to create a musical masterpiece.

Frontman Matthew Gray drew inspiration from personal experiences to write "Targets," pouring his emotions into the song. He explains that the song is about breaking free from the chains of toxic masculinity in all relationships, whether they be intimate or casual. The song's message is about learning to be comfortable with who we are, while acknowledging that we cannot be our fathers or their fathers. Instead, we need to strive to be a new breed of people who are not constrained by the ignorance of the past.

With its honest and relatable lyrics, "Targets" strikes a chord, inviting listeners to reflect on their own journeys and the impact of toxic masculinity in their lives. Matthew And The Arrogant Sea's unwavering commitment to creating music that resonates emotionally shines through in this remarkable single. The band's talent for writing introspective and thought-provoking lyrics is evident in "Targets," which carries a powerful message that aims to break through societal barriers and encourage listeners to embrace their true selves.
