Austin-based alternative hip-hop duo Magna Carda, made up of MC-producer duo Megz Kelli and Dougie Do are back with their new release "Cowboy". The track was inspired by the history of black cowboys and the deep-rooted history behind the name. Using it as an allegory for the wild music industry, the duo dwells on black excellence, ownership and being true to what is truly ours. Over the choppy and moody backdrop provided by Dougie, Megz takes us on a ride with her laidback and somewhat whispered flow similar to Bahamadia and gives us her true unapologetic thoughts on black art and life as a musician trying to make it.
