Minnesota raised and now Los Angeles based singer/songwriter Nate Amor has just shared his latest single "Mission Critical". The song follows what has been a busy year for the prolific artist who has released an album, EP and single all in 2023.
With "Mission Critical", Nate Amor details the importance of trying to hold onto that childlike innocence and wonder that oftentimes get lost as adults. As our responsibilities and pressures change as we age, we often forget what it is like to experience pure joy and faith and with "Mission Critical", Nate Amor brilliantly relays this theme. Lyrics including, "just to be a kid again / take me flying around the sun / so I don't crash and burn again / this is mission critical," show just how imperative and transformative getting back to that childlike wonderment can be for Nate Amor's mental health. Sonically, "Mission Critical" features fiercely emotive vocals that sing fervent melodies full of yearning. Lush, soul-baring acoustic guitars underlay downtempo electronic pop landscapes for an intoxicating listen.
Nate Amor has had a successful music career for over two decades. In addition to releasing a vast catalogue of important musical releases, the artist was also a contestant on NBC’s The Voice, and has shared the stage with Train, Mat Kearney, and Marc Cohn among others. He is also currently a vocalist and member of the famed Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Take a listen to "Mission Critical" now and enjoy the ride.
