Veteran Auckland-based rapper Nauti has been holding it down in the hip-hop scene alongside his crew Omni Potent (comprising of Franko G, and LUCA). From releasing multiple albums to opening for legends such as Mobb Deep, Big Boi of Outkast and others, Nauti sure has completed his ten thousand hours requirement. He then proceeded to go solo in 2017 with the release of his debut project Tired of Being Tired, which got him critically acclaimed and he hasn't looked back since.
His latest record "Voodoo Child" is a soothing and reflective jam that showcases his blend of stream of consciousness and witty wordplay. Over a smoky and warm soundscape made up of lush Rhodes arrangement, and pulsating bass drums, he delivers with his signature nonchalant flow and commanding vocal tone that is undeniable.
The record breaks his hiatus to focus on conscious growth and now he is ready to share the next chapter of his story, with the release of his forthcoming album, Gotham.
