Neo-psychedelic indie rock collective Pearl Earl has just released a thought provoking new single "It's Dread". The song is the highlight off of the band's upcoming ten track album and the title track.

With "It's Dread", Pearl Earl writes a song all about our current culture which is plagued by capitalism and patriarchy. Lyrics including, "Somebody told me, it's such a bummer / how could they do this to the summer, summer? / the scene is unstable, all for exposure / how can you keep your composure, poser / the times are twisted, don't turn your shoulder," show how consumerism and celebrity worship can ruin good times and bring about a dark cloud in day to day life. Musically, "It's Dread" features an enthralling collision of reverb heavy psychedelic guitar riffs, elevated layered melodies and driving bass for a cerebral and atmospheric decadent sonic haze.

Pearl Earl is known for their dazzling and unique blend of post punk, glam rock, garage pop and psychedelic. Formed by frontwoman Ariel Hartley in Denton, TX in 2014, the band has attracted a fervent fanbase through the years, finding success opening for the likes of Death Valley, Girls, Oh Sees, The Black Angels, Black Lips and more. Take a listen to "It's Dread" now and catch Pearl Earl at one of their upcoming shows.
