Wakai has shared a new release, titled "Frustrated". At 22-years-old, Wakai is a DIY aficionado with a preternatural natural talent for creating makeshift studios and recording anywhere he lays his hat. Emerging at the forefront of a bubbling new-wave hip-hop community in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Wakai earns respect from those who inspire him while nurturing a compelling sound of his own. After the release of "Collect Calls" featuring Flozigg and femdot., Wakai is officially announcing his second studio album Some People Scream, Some People Talk with his new release "Frustrated", via THANKS Recordings. The track has been a mainstay in the Louisiana native's live performances, injecting it into his sets between unreleased songs and tracks from his successful debut album To a Dark Boy. "Frustrated" is a warm, reflective song produced by Stoic Beats that finds him expressing his exasperation about life not always going his way.

"Frustrated" contains refreshing instrumentation built upon watery keys, laid-back percussion, and rich bass. Capturing a warm, reminiscent mood, the beat's smooth sonics pair cohesively with Wakai's silky flow- as he strings together dynamic rhyme patterns effortlessly. Closing out with a gorgeous saxophone-laced outro, "Frustrated" maintains its relaxed feel throughout while also acting as catharsis for Wakai to vent about feeling stuck in life and facing uncertainty.

""Frustrated" was my depiction of myself at a crossroads not knowing how to channel my anger," Wakai says. "Through these frustrations, I found serenity in the empowerment of my journey more than my struggle. This song is dedicated to the people who feel how I felt and got through it."

Released ahead of his second studio album Some People Scream, Some People Talk, "Frustrated" makes for an engaging, relatable track from Wakai with refreshing sonics and heartfelt subject matter.
