It's a veteran's thing as rapper Mitchy Slick (from Strongarm Steady crew) teams up with Central Valley, CA producer Sir Veterano for this WestCoast funk-driven jam titled "Dago Nights". The two are longtime collaborators and have worked on several songs in the past and now they are preparing for a full-length collaborative project titled Everybody Hates Mitch. "Dago Nights" is a retro-infused tune ripe with that classic west coast funk synth and bounce tinged with lush textures and a smooth chorus from the Talkbox king Bosko who laces the hook in his own distinct style. Mitchy Slick also lives up to his name with his laidback and unassuming flow that is underpinned by his visual songwriting that brings listeners closer to his stomping grounds and the many sights that keep towners mesmerized.
The accompanying visual is directed by Yellow Nguyen, another longtime collaborator who help bring the song to life with his clean and pristine shots.
"Dago Nights' appears on Mitchy & Vet's forthcoming collab album Everybody Hates Mitch which features the first single "In My El Co" (watch the music video) as well as appearances from E-40, Jay Worthy, Silky Slim, Ise B, and 2die4. San Diego rap stalwart Mitchy is CEO of Wrongkind Records, a familial collective of rappers, deejays and artists (watch the music video for "Imperial" featuring OsoOcean). Everybody Hates Mitch is inspired by the 80's West Coast cocaine rap era.
