Hardworking eclectic NY rapper Homeboy Sandman is not resting on his oars as he drops a new visual, for the song “Seventh Day of Christmas." The Illingsworth-produced track is as solemn as they come and forms the perfect backdrop for Homeboy Sandman's reflective lyrics that dwell on love and the essence of communication between two individuals. Lines like "I'm never trying to be foul, I'm only trying to be fair but I ain't trying to be down/ Trying to be scared so I said what I said 'cause I thought what I thought, we wound up in a war" dive into the ups and downs that come with being in a relationship. Homeboy Sandman takes a look within himself and despite his numerous flaws, he sure is not giving up on love.
The accompanying music video for “Seventh Day of Christmas” is directed and shot by Art Morera and Co-stars Tatiana Borda who plays the leading lady. The music video is a beautiful depiction of open and honest communication in a relationship and it uses subtle filming techniques to show this.
“Seventh Day of Christmas” is taken from Homeboy Sandman’s 12 Days of Christmas & Dia de Los Reyes album, released earlier this year via his imprint Dirty Looks.
