"Riley" has a boisterous vibe and is preceded by a snippet of one of Riley's unfiltered diatribes that sets the tone of the song perfectly. The emcees then proceed to go on a verbal onslaught reminding us that they are not restrained by external forces, besides maybe Grandpa. Lines like "Hoodrat shit with my friends, I don't give a fuck about nothing, just trying to get to my ends" perfectly sum things up. "Huey" has a sombre and contemplative aesthetic with its sombre soundscape made up of moody textures and downtempo grooves. S.I.N. and Tru Thoughts take turns in sharing their thoughts on many social themes ranging from the overall matrix of society, capitalism and the never-ending ruse of the government which continues to subdue the masses with underhanded policies. Again, both emcees give scathing views and graphic descriptions of what happens around them with lines like "They got people fighting wars, securing a resource/for nothing and never worry about the bodies on the floor/The families they poverty, ambition of wanting more/ a soldier forever lost, no future but battle scars". The final track "Jebediah" embodies the spirit of the eponymous Grandad who is trying to enjoy his life as a retiree. The record has a summer-tinged feel and sees both emcees dreaming of how life after all the struggles should be. Free from worries and just living off one's hard work.
Overall, the project circles through different mindsets that range from youthful exuberance/rage to profound social reflection and lastly the sage-like experience of the OG who has witnessed it all and now wants to relax and enjoy the fruits of his labour.
