Zim$inatra is a South African producer, songwriter, and artist who grew up between South Africa and Zimbabwe in his early years and fell in love with Hugh Masekela's brand of Jazz, and Kwaito music. As he grew older he ventured into the Afro-house, and pop genres infused with his African background and he hasn't looked back since. His latest release "HONESTLY" sees him teaming up with vocalist and longtime collaborator Mooie Zangeres for a groovy dance number. The fusion of amapiano, afro house with soul elements make it a great listen and to top it off Mooie Zangeres's distinct vocal runs add that extra emotional depth. Mooie shares a heartwarming tale of a cheating ex who now regrets his decision to go with the other woman. Crawling back on his knees, however, doesn't help much as Mooie reminds him with the following lines "I mean honestly, you had all of me/ but I guess you didn't know what you have until it's gone". The singer is definitely revelling in the situation as she calmly states her stance with a laidback and hopeful demeanour that even extends sympathy to her ex's new girl.

"HONESTLY" is well-crafted and fits in perfectly on one's summer lounge playlist as it has that vibe one can rock with repeatedly.
