Chi-town-based Mexican-American alternative hip-hop artist who goes by the moniker Cruize FX has built his reputation in the game with his distinct and dynamic production and stylish performance style. Since his 2016 debut, he has managed to bring together a vast array of sounds ranging that fuse R&B/hiphop and contemporary sounds in a seamless manner. His latest effort titled "Good For Nothing" is a mellow and soulful track that has hints of funk/soul with hip-hop sensibilities.
The production is ripe with a thick pulsating funky bassline reminiscent of Thundercat and warm soulful textures and a solid drum groove that drives it. Flow-wise, he sure holds his own with the machine gun cadence and witty bars that dive into the mind games people play when they are fronting for someone who shows interest in them. He is joined by &Rade who adds a deep and inflective vocal performance to the track and overall the record sure hits the mark with its smooth transitions and soulful vibe that everyone can rock to.
"Good For Nothing" is the follow-up single to last year's I'm Soul Dope.
