Emerging UK rapper and producer Yorke first popped on our radar some years ago with his 7-track debut EP Peur Eternus and now he returns with the song "Ratio". The track is a blend of dark electronic sounds and thick drums that play off each other. The thick distorted synths take the lead and the ethereal sound design adds an ominous feeling to it as well. Yorke sounds more than comfortable over the off-kilter backdrop with his laidback flow and candid rapping that showcase his technical rap style with lines that pay homage to all '90s babies. He is joined by vocalist Skuuls who peppers the track with an airy melodic performance in the bridge section.
"Ratio" is taken from Yorke's new mixtape Never In My Wildest Dreams, a project that makes use of different musical styles ranging from traditional and experimental hip-hop to dance-infused tracks and much more.
