Emerging Atlanta singer and songwriter Aryeè The Gem burst onto the scene with her debut "Spring" a year ago and now she returns with a new single titled "To It". The track sees her working with producer Trakmatik who laces her with a lush and soulful-synth-laden backdrop. Inspired by the concept of overthinking and her real-life experiences, Aryee shares a heartfelt tale of self-discovery and growth alongside the pain that comes with it. She gives listeners a thorough and nuanced view of coming to terms with one's flaws and the process of overcoming them with baby steps.
The song also comes with a captivating music video that brings the song further to life. Directed by Los Angeles-based cinematography duo MOM (Alicia Keys, Krewella, Adekunle Gold), the visuals for ‘To It’ utilizes a conceptual symbolism of Aryeè’s self-reflection and freedom to create a refined visual aesthetic that does excellently to illustrate Aryeè’s assertive and powerful nature as she navigates through life. As Aryeè puts it, “The video represents freedom, hope, and experiencing that place where the weights of life feel lifted from my shoulders”.
